This Privacy Policy explains how ConfirmGuy.com ("ConfirmGuy", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit our website and use our calculators and articles (the "Site"). We built this Site to be privacy-first: the numbers you enter into our calculators are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to us. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

The short version

• Calculator inputs (income, expenses, tips, miles, and so on) stay in your browser. We never receive, store, or sell them.
• We don't require accounts and don't ask for your name, email, or financial details.
• Our host (Cloudflare) keeps standard server logs, and—once you accept cookies—we may show Google ads and use aggregate analytics.
• You control advertising cookies through our cookie banner and the opt-out links below.

Calculator inputs stay in your browser

Everything you type into our calculators is processed entirely within your browser using JavaScript. These numbers are never sent to our servers, saved to a database, or shared with anyone. They exist only for as long as the page is open—reloading or closing the page clears them. We have no way to see what you entered.

Information we collect

Information you provide. You can use every calculator without giving us any personal information. The only time you'd share data with us is if you choose to email us, in which case we receive whatever you put in that message (such as your email address and its contents).

Information collected automatically. Like nearly all websites, our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) automatically records standard technical information when you request a page—your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, the pages you request, referring URLs, and the date and time. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use a small amount of local storage to remember your cookie choice. If you accept cookies, our advertising and analytics partners may then set cookies or read device identifiers as described below.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them sparingly:

• Strictly necessary (consent preference). We store your cookie choice locally so we don't ask you on every page. This isn't used to track you.
• Advertising cookies. Only after you accept, Google and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads (see Advertising).
• Analytics. We may use a privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics tool that does not identify you individually (see Analytics).

You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the calculators will still work. You can also change your choice through the cookie banner.

Advertising

This Site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can control or opt out of personalized advertising:

• Opt out of Google's personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.
• Opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).

Analytics

We may use a privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics service (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand which pages are visited and how the Site performs. These measurements are aggregated and are not used to identify you personally.

How we use information

We use the limited information described above to: operate, maintain, and deliver the Site; keep it secure and prevent fraud or abuse; understand overall usage so we can improve the tools; display advertising that helps support the Site; and comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share only the limited technical data described here, and only with: our hosting/security provider (Cloudflare); our advertising and analytics partners (such as Google); and, where required, to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety. Note that allowing third-party advertising cookies may be considered "sharing" or a "sale" under some U.S. state privacy laws—see Your privacy rights.

Data retention

Because calculator inputs never reach us, there is nothing for us to retain. Server logs are kept by our provider for a limited period for security and operational purposes and then discarded or anonymized. Advertising and analytics data is retained by those providers under their own policies.

Your privacy rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). We collect, at most, the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as IP address) and internet/network activity (such as pages viewed), collected automatically from your device and used for the purposes above. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information and do not sell your data for money. You have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, to correct information, and to opt out of the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise the advertising opt-out through our cookie banner, the opt-out links above, or by enabling Global Privacy Control (GPC) in a supported browser. We won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

EEA/UK residents (GDPR). Our legal bases are our legitimate interests (operating and securing the Site and basic, aggregate analytics) and your consent (for advertising and any non-essential cookies, which you give through the cookie banner and may withdraw at any time). You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

"Do Not Track." Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. Where required by law, we treat a GPC signal as a request to opt out of advertising cookies.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for a general, adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party links

Our articles may link to other websites (such as the BLS, freight-rate sources, or government pages) for reference. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies before providing any information.

Data security

We serve the Site over encrypted HTTPS and rely on our provider's security infrastructure. Because we collect almost no personal data and never receive your calculator inputs, your exposure is minimal. No method of transmission over the internet is, however, completely secure.

International visitors

The Site is operated in the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., the limited technical data described here may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site evolves or the law changes. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be reflected on this page. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
